Kids Laundromat Bibles

Hello! I’m Jeff Buckner. I live in San Diego, California, with my wife of 32 years. We attend Christ Community Church and I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. The mission of Kids Laundromat Bibles traces back to a very special memory from when I was just five years old.

Back then, my favorite part of the week was going with my mom to the local laundromat. While the machines hummed and the air filled with the scent of detergent, I would head straight for the colorful children’s Bible that was in the waiting area.

"I knew there was something special about the man on the cover of the book. I just loved flipping through those colorful pages."

Looking back I realize that's when God first spoke to me. It was a gentle calling to follow Him. That moment stayed with me, planting a seed of faith. At age 15 I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I started Kids Laundromat Bibles because I believe that no place is too ordinary for a child to encounter the Word of God. I want to help ensure that other children have that same opportunity to find a Bible, see the stories of Jesus, and hear His voice calling them.
